Karen Crain
Client Service Manager
Karen Crain is a Project Manager at Smarter Furnishings. She brings two decades of experience as a Logistics Officer in the United States Marine Corps to her role, with expertise spanning project management, logistics, operations, and team leadership.
Before joining Smarter Furnishings, Karen held high-level positions including Executive Advisor, Supply Chain Manager, and Construction Project Manager. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Colorado and has earned a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
At Smarter Furnishings, Karen manages continuity between customers, sales, and manufacturing, ensuring projects are successfully executed from quote to completion. She has played a key role in streamlining processes, implementing a new CRM system, and managing projects for model rooms at Element and TownePlace Suites, as well as a Capital Vacations timeshare.
Outside of work, Karen is passionate about snow skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, and painting. She enjoys reading historical war novels and was inspired to join the Marine Corps by Michael Shaara’s The Killer Angels. She is currently building a barndominium, a project she finds both challenging and exciting.
