Chris Reed
Accounting Manager
Chris Reed joined Smarter Furnishings as our Accounting Manager in October 2025.
Chris has 16 years experience in manufacturing accounting and has served twice as plant controller. For two and a half of those years, he worked alongside Chief Financial Officer Regina Conklin and built a lasting relationship. Chris’s role consists of day-to-day accounting activities and enhancing Business Central to accommodate company growth. Ultimately, this will provide Smarter Furnishings’ customers with improved information and data. Chris feels his grasp on accounting and his past customer service role will make him a valuable addition to assist Smarter Furnishings and their customers. His philosophy is to build customer relationships by furnishing accurate information and timely responses. Essentially, Chris strives to be personable and treat others how he would want to be treated. He admires Smarter Furnishings privately-owned values of admiring their employees talents and their determination for a family-like atmosphere.
Outside of work, Chris resides in Middle Tennessee on his family’s generational farm. He is married to his wife of 20 years and is blessed with a 17 year-old daughter and an 11 year-old son. Chris enjoys spending time traveling with his family, working on old trucks and tractors, fishing, four-wheeling, and farming. As a fair warning, never show Chris coffee or donuts; he can not resist.
